Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose, CA is seeking a Staff Data Center Solutions Architect to design software that links DCIM platforms with data center hardware, focusing on AI Cloud Systems monitoring and Building Management System integration.

You will build services and drivers for EE-adjacent interfaces (BMC, IPMI, Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, Redfish) to monitor and control racks, delivering secure, resilient telemetry and integration with orchestration platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including hardware interfacing.
• Experience with BMS integration or industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP).

Responsibilities

• Design and build software connecting DCIM platforms with data center hardware.
• Develop services and drivers for BMS and EE-adjacent interfaces.
• Define architecture for datacenter control and telemetry systems.
• Create real-time monitoring and telemetry for power, cooling, sensors.
• Collaborate with EE teams to translate hardware capabilities into software abstractions.
• Implement support for BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, Redfish, IPMI within the stack.
• Create APIs for data consumption by cloud orchestration and monitoring platforms.
• Maintain architecture docs, runbooks, and onboarding materials.
