Mattel in El Segundo is seeking a Staff Data Analyst, Lean and Process Improvement, Co Manufacturing, to lead complex improvement initiatives. You will diagnose processes, design solutions, implement changes, and sustain gains across Product Supply and external manufacturing partners.

You will build dashboards, create business cases and partner with operations leaders to enable data-driven decisions and measurable impact across the supply network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in process improvement, supply chain, manufacturing operations, strategy, operations excellence, business analytics or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex process improvement initiatives from diagnostics through implementation and sustainment.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean methodologies, process design, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, standard work, operating model design and change management.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate insights into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience building dashboards, scorecards, executive readouts and performance management tools.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Google BigQuery or similar tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead value stream diagnostics across Global Procurement, Manufacturing and Co Manufacturing teams.
  • Identify process wastes and performance gaps using Lean tools.
  • Develop the improvement roadmap with prioritized initiatives and expected business impact.
  • Translate data into actionable insights across operational, financial and supply chain domains.
  • Build performance dashboards and scorecards for leadership decision making.
  • Create business cases for change quantifying value like productivity, lead time reduction and cost avoidance.
  • Redesign processes and operating models with governance and standard work.
  • Drive pilots and full implementations with adoption tracking and training materials.
  • Facilitate Lean events and cross-functional workshops with key partners.
  • Strengthen data quality and reporting governance for day-to-day decision making.
  • Partner on systems and reporting enablement to improve data flows and automation.
  • Influence senior stakeholders with executive-ready recommendations.
  • Coach teams on Lean practices and data-backed decision making.
  • Track benefits and ensure sustainment of improvements.
  • Promote continuous improvement culture across Product Supply.
