Job summary

Mattel, Inc. in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Staff Data Analyst, Lean and Process Improvement, Co Manufacturing, to lead diagnostics, design, and sustainment of Lean-driven improvements across Product Supply.

The role partners with senior leaders to translate complex operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions, building dashboards, business cases and governance for end-to-end value realization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in process improvement, supply chain, manufacturing operations, strategy, operations excellence or analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex process improvement initiatives from diagnostics through implementation and sustainment.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean methodologies, process design, root cause analysis, value stream mapping and change management.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to work with large datasets and translate insights into practical recommendations.
  • Experience building dashboards, scorecards, executive readouts and performance management tools.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint with experience using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, BigQuery or similar tools.
  • Strong executive communication and ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead value stream diagnostics across procurement, manufacturing and co manufacturing teams.
  • Identify process wastes and performance gaps using Lean tools and data analysis.
  • Develop an improvement roadmap with prioritized pipelines and impact estimates.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to inform decisions.
  • Build dashboards and reporting to provide visibility to leadership.
  • Create business cases quantifying value from improvements.
  • Redesign processes and operating models with future state workflows and governance.
  • Drive pilots, implementations, adoption tracking and post-implementation reviews.
  • Facilitate Lean events and cross-functional workshops.
  • Strengthen data quality and governance for decision making.
  • Partner on systems, reporting enablement and digitization efforts.
  • Influence senior stakeholders with clear recommendations.
  • Coach team members on Lean methods and sustainable practices.
  • Track benefits and ensure improvements are embedded in day-to-day operations.
  • Promote continuous improvement culture across Product Supply.
