Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Master Data Management Analyst in El Segundo, CA, to join the Global Supply Chain Master Data Management team. You will create, maintain, validate and improve product and item master data supporting our supply chain and broader organization.

You’ll collaborate with Planning, Sales, Product Development, Finance and IT to resolve data issues, adhere to data standards, and drive data quality and governance across ERP, PLM, PIM and related systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management, product data, Supply Chain, ERP, or a related business environment.
• Experience creating, maintaining, validating, or governing master data within ERP, PLM, PIM, MDM, or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and drive resolution.
• Ability to document functional requirements, business rules, and operating procedures.
• Strong understanding of data quality and data governance principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard item setup, maintenance, bulk uploads, and other master data activities across applicable business systems.
• Ensure master data is accurate, complete, and maintained according to governance standards and procedures.
• Serve as a point of contact for master data requests from cross functional teams including Planning, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, GTO, Quality, and Finance.
• Investigate and troubleshoot master data issues and coordinate with business and tech partners to resolve them.
• Conduct data quality reviews, audits, validations, and communicate corrective actions as needed.
• Document business processes, data requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve master data processes and reduce manual effort.
• Support system enhancements, testing and user acceptance, and implementation activities related to master data.
• Support data requirements for customer, market, regulatory, and industry standards.
