Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Staff Controls Engineer for the Rocket Motor Systems plant in McHenry, MS. You will design and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment, and lead integration of FactoryOS software into automation lines.

You will architect PLC code, enforce standards, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years in controls and automation in production.
• Expert Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
• Proficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for production equipment.
• Architect, write, and debug Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.
• Generate and enforce internal standards for control systems architectures and safety.
• Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures.
• Mentor junior controls engineers and provide technical direction on integrator work.
