Job summary

The Walt Disney Studios Content Security organization is chartered with protecting all creative content across the production lifecycle. This role, Staff Content Security Engineer, reports to the Director of Content Security Engineering and is based in Glendale, CA with Fridays remote.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or infrastructure roles with architecture design and assessment experience.
• Ability to translate threat models and risk into clear architectural input.
• Experience in content creation environments and generative AI security.
• Experience across AppSec, CloudSec, and media infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in design and security of complex systems across platforms and cloud-native tools.
• Serve as a technical partner for high-risk assessments across AppSec, CloudSec, and media infrastructure.
• Advocate secure workflows for remote editing, cloud post-production, and real-time asset delivery.
• Drive testing for custom or vendor tooling, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Define standard security patterns, reusable controls, and baselines across assessments.
• Mentor engineers to improve security acumen and delivery.
• Contribute to threat modeling, framework development, and security initiatives.
• Stay ahead of new technologies and AI security implications.
