Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Seattle, WA is seeking a Security Engineer – Software Engineer to join the Global Information Security team. You will help build security automation, support deployment pipelines, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to protect Disney's networks and guest data.

Candidates typically have 3+ years of scripting and cloud/infra experience, plus a security mindset and a passion for automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Experience with OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, or similar data stores.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM, Google Deployment Manager).
• Demonstrated ability to learn across Unix/Linux, Application Security, Vulnerability Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop security automation capabilities to protect network and assets.
• Support and maintain code deployment pipelines using GitLab or CI/CD.
• Assist in optimizing security tool deployments and scale processes across Cyber Security capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Information Security programs.
• Help develop platforms to host applications with security requirements.
• Maintain runbooks for incident response and monitoring.
