Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, CA is seeking a Security Engineer - Software Engineer to join our Global Information Security team. You will help build security automation, support deployment pipelines, and collaborate across security and engineering groups to protect Disney assets.

You will contribute to developing platforms with strong security requirements, improve runbooks and incident response, and evaluate new technologies for enterprise use.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience with OpenSearch or PostgreSQL or similar data stores.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM, Deployment Manager).
• Ability to learn across Unix/Linux, App Security, Vulnerability Management, etc.
• Experience deploying software in production and maintaining it.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop security automation within the Security Development and Design team.
• Maintain code deployment pipelines using GitLab or similar CI/CD tools.
• Optimize security tool deployments and extend scalable processes across Cyber Security capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on information security programs.
• Develop and maintain platforms to host applications with security requirements.
• Maintain runbooks for incident response and application support.
• Support monitoring solutions and alerting capabilities.
• Communicate with stakeholders and contribute to technical discussions.
• Contribute to security automation projects and team initiatives.
• Research new security technologies and evaluate their fit.
