Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to lead Cloud, Network & Automation within Corporate IT. You will set the architecture and engineering standards for cloud environments, network access, secrets, infrastructure-as-code pipelines, and automation platforms that every employee relies on.

You will raise the bar for engineers and drive durable, secure platforms across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems, cloud, infrastructure, or security engineering.
• Ability to set technical direction and deliver durable, organization-wide outcomes.
• Hands-on cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, GCP with security focus.
• Experience with IaC, GitOps, and automated change management.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud platform architecture and governance across multiple clouds.
• Own IaC patterns, pipelines, and secure deployment practices.
• Define network, zero-trust, and access strategies for remote work.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and drive on-call readiness.
• Partner with Identity, Trust & Security, and Infrastructure teams.
