Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design and build scalable security capabilities across cloud environments. You will lead preventative controls, automation, and secure-by-default patterns that enable rapid engineering while managing cloud risk.

Responsibilities include architecting security across IAM, networking, containers/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring engineers in secure infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production systems experience.
• Deep hands-on cloud security with AWS and/or Azure (IAM, networking, workloads).
• Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD and engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of cloud security architecture across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Build security tooling and automation in Go and Python.
• Implement automated guardrails and secure-by-default patterns.
