Job summary

YWCA Central Massachusetts in Worcester, MA seeks a Staff Clinician to serve as the clinical resource for the Domestic Violence Program. The role provides trauma-informed consultation, assessment, advocacy, and guidance to support survivors of domestic violence and related trauma.

You will collaborate with the Director and staff to strengthen trauma-informed practices, coordinate referrals to community behavioral health, and maintain documentation to support program outcomes and compliance.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Staff Clinician serves as the clinical resource for the Domestic Violence Program, providing trauma-informed consultation, assessment, advocacy, and clinical guidance to support survivors of domestic violence, interpersonal violence, coercive control, and related trauma. Working closely with the Director of Domestic Violence and program staff, the Staff Clinician strengthens trauma-informed practices through case consultation, risk assessment, clinical recommendations, and coordinated referrals to community behavioral health and supportive services.

This position supports advocates, staff, and interns by providing clinical expertise, guidance on complex cases, and education that enhances survivor-centered services. The Staff Clinician also maintains clinical documentation, data tracking, and reporting requirements to support program outcomes and compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide trauma-informed clinical consultation, assessment, advocacy, and limited short-term supportive interventions as appropriate.
• Serve as the lead clinical resource for the Domestic Violence Program by providing consultation, case support, and guidance on complex participant needs.
• Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and recommendations to support participant care planning and referrals.
• Provide clinical consultation to advocates, interns, and program staff regarding trauma, mental health, coercive control, and domestic violence.
• Coordinate referrals to behavioral health, psychiatric, substance use, and community-based services.
• Maintain accurate documentation, data collection, outcome tracking, and grant reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with the Director of Domestic Violence and program leadership to strengthen trauma-informed, survivor-centered services.
• Provide community education and professional consultation related to domestic violence and trauma as appropriate.
• Participate in program meetings, trainings, and special projects.

QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:

Multilingual/multicultural strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Maintain an active license to practice in MA (LCSW).
• Experience working with diverse populations such as all communities of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
