Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Staff Clinical Engineer to drive early-stage ideas into clinically relevant orthopaedic devices and features. You will collaborate with product development teams and clinicians to inform user needs, regulatory considerations, and real-world performance.

You will accelerate the transfer of breakthrough technologies from concept to clinical application, supporting cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver safe, effective, and differentiated solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Robotics Engineering or related technical discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute clinical and technical expertise to ideation and early-stage evaluation of novel design concepts.
• Support feasibility assessment and prototype development aligned with clinical needs and regulatory pathways.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define patient journey and product maps; translate insights into actionable goals.
