Job summary

Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA) in Kellogg, Idaho seeks a Staff Civil or Environmental Engineer to investigate and remediate mine sites, design civil site developments, brownfields, and stormwater systems, with hands-on field work and some office tasks.

You'll work with licensed engineers, collect soil, groundwater, and surface water samples, prepare designs in Civil 3D, model stormwater, review third‑party designs, estimate costs, and engage with clients and regulators to keep projects on

Qualifications

• BS in civil or environmental engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Interest in consulting on site development, remediation design, hydraulics and stormwater.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling of soil, groundwater and surface water.
• Support drilling oversight and field operations in summer.
• Prepare QA plans, investigation reports and design drawings using Civil 3D.
• Model stormwater systems, perform cost estimation, and review third‑party designs.
• Characterize mine impacted sites and support remedial action designs.
• Engage with clients and regulators to maintain project schedules.
