Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Has or applies for initial professional certification in their core discipline, such as EIT/FE, or equivalent.
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER and MSHA certifications preferred.
• Relevant work experience a plus.
• Must comply with Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior.
• Must comply with Health & Safety protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Establishes and maintains membership in one professional society.
• Computer Skills – Proficiency in AutoCAD and industry standard software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine data collection, synthesis, and analysis using approved procedures for the discipline.
• Perform environmental site investigations and related fieldwork.
• Perform and observe construction remediation field work.
• Perform groundwater and temperature monitoring and soil and water sampling.
• Assist in identifying technical issues and approaches for evaluation.
• Review and apply applicable regulations as appropriate.
• Conduct site reconnaissance.
• Document project-related activities.
• Assist project engineers with environmental data analyses.
• Troubleshoot problems in remote locations.
• Follow Health & Safety protocols.
• Contribute to development of technical approaches to problem-solving.
• Assist with development of scopes of work and cost estimating for proposals on small- to medium-sized projects.
• Observe field investigations and foundation/earthwork activities on a periodic basis.
• Take ownership for task completion and be resourceful with solutions and proactive with questions.
• Willingness to travel to support project work.

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a StaffCivil/Environmental Engineer 1 with 0-3 years of environmental field experience. We are currently seeking creative professionals to work on complex environmental projects with collaborative, multidisciplinary project teams. The successful candidate will be a self‑motivated problem solver with high attention to detail and must be capable of understanding and accurately extrapolating technical instruction to solve problems and create technically accurate environmental studies and associated design documents. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full‑time position located in our Helena, MT office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: In this position, you will:

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum Skills and Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Has or applies for initial professional certification in their core discipline, where applicable, such as EIT, FE, or equivalent.
