Job summary

Fetch is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on CI/CD to evolve our systems, infrastructure, and developer workflows that power software delivery across the platform.

You will improve pipelines, surface feedback for developers, and build automation to make shipping code faster and safer, while partnering with multiple teams to raise velocity and maintain reliability. This is a remote-friendly role in the United States.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with CI/CD, developer infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Staff-level technical leadership on initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards.
• Strong fundamentals across application and infrastructure boundaries.
• Experience with modern CI/CD at scale and deployment automation.
• Cloud familiarity and IaC practices; Docker/Kubernetes expertise.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for CI/CD systems and delivery infrastructure.
• Own the CI/CD roadmap across quarters and justify investments.
• Design, build, and evolve scalable pipelines and deployment systems.
• Improve feedback, failure visibility, and quality signals for developers.
• Eliminate bottlenecks across build, test, merge, and release workflows.
• Enhance CI performance via caching, parallelism, and optimization.
• Define quality gates and automated safeguards for rapid, reliable delivery.
• Build platform capabilities that standardize patterns while enabling teams.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, security, backend, frontend, and mobile teams.
• Establish metrics and observability for CI/CD systems.
• Lead cross-team initiatives from problem definition to adoption.
• Mentor senior staff and promote engineering excellence.
