Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Chandler, AZ seeks a Chief Engineer - Level 5 to join the Program Engineering Management team. You will provide technical oversight across Advanced Programs, lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensure reviews meet standards, and drive timely customer deliverables.

This role requires a STEM degree with extensive leadership, active Secret clearance, travel, and a proven ability to coordinate multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 10 years OR PhD with 8 years.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizen required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (6-8 trips/year).
• 12+ years of directly related experience, including evidence of technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for multiple programs within Advanced Programs (AP).
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to complete design and mission reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements and timely deliverables.
• Coordinate with Program Engineering Management and Chief Engineers on solutions.
• Drive Digital Transformation initiatives as directed by LS business unit.
• Ensure subsystem designs and hardware builds meet requirements and justify deviations.
• Coordinate between programs on common technical issues and strategic initiatives.
• Perform other duties as necessary for the Chief Engineer role.
