Job summary

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a full-time Staff Cardiologist to join our academic, teaching hospital. The Cardiologist will provide clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and may contribute as a supervisor for residents, fellows, and medical students.

Ideal candidates include board-eligible/certified cardiologists with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and service.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or eligibility as per VA policies.
• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Board eligibility/board certification in Cardiology preferred.
• Completion of accredited residency in cardiology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in cardiology for inpatients and outpatients.
• Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Attend and participate in medical center committees and CQI activities.
• Perform chart review and ensure timely documentation in EMR.
• Possibly serve as chief of the section or provide leadership as needed.
