Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) team within the Cortex organization. You will build scalable, reliable backend services that give visibility into SaaS environments and protect critical business applications.

You will own features from design through production, collaborate with global engineering teams, and tackle challenges across distributed systems, data processing, and SaaS integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering production backend software with ownership of features.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python; willingness to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices.
• Own feature delivery from design through production and ops.
• Build data pipelines across enterprise SaaS apps.
• Develop reliable APIs and data models for new capabilities.
• Contribute to scalability, performance, and maintainability discussions.
