Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Backend Engineer to lead the backend of our unified vulnerability and exposure management module in XSIAM. You will innovate and scale the Cortex Platform, delivering value to thousands of customers.

This role requires a can-do attitude, expert cloud experience, and a passion for solving the most challenging cybersecurity threats. Collaboration and technical leadership are essential across teams.

Formación

• 14+ years of professional software engineering experience with distributed, cloud-native development.
• Expert-level programming in Python, Go, or Java on large-scale distributed systems.
• Extensive cloud development experience including REST APIs, databases, serverless, and microservices.
• Hands-on technical lead or architect experience on complex software projects.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a senior technical leader, providing consultation and cross-team collaboration.
• Drive full lifecycle of projects from requirements to design and implementation, acting as project lead or mentor.
• Align planned work across product management, UX design, and engineering stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth execution and high-quality output.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data models and queries using MySQL, Spanner and BigQuery.
• Develop backend services using Python (FastAPI) and Go, with robust API endpoints.
