Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer for the Cortex platform. You will design and maintain backend services for Cortex XSOAR/XSIAM and AI-enhanced Cortex offerings, building scalable, secure solutions on public cloud with Go and Python expertise.

The role emphasizes on-prem and SaaS backend development, real-time production support, and collaboration across teams to deliver robust security automation capabilities to customers globally.

Competenze

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering building scalable server-side apps.
• 4+ years hands-on Go and Python programming.
• 5+ years building distributed cloud products on major platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of distributed computing concepts (CAP, master election, split-brain).
• Experience with production troubleshooting and customer support.
