Job summary

Meeru AI Inc. is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to own the application and API services layer, providing multi-tenant APIs, access control, and auditability for a finance-focused AI-native platform.

You will ensure strong security, correctness, and scalable deployment across clouds while collaborating with data, AI, and product teams. You will lead end-to-end ownership of major services, set backend patterns with Senior Staff engineers, and mentor mid and senior engineers in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in backend forward deployment engineering with ownership of complex production services.
• Ownership of multi-tenant SaaS APIs, authentication, authorization, and audit trails.
• Strong API and service design with versioning, contracts, and backward compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-tenant APIs through which platform results are consumed.
• Build review, approval, and exception workflows for finance teams.
• Maintain multi-tenant isolation at the service layer with strong access control.
• Build and sustain audit trails linking user-facing figures to computations and sources.
• Develop multi-cloud ready, customer-hosted deployment models with strong isolation.
• Own performance, reliability, cost, and observability of services.
