Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring for a security-focused engineering role to strengthen our device security platform across firmware and IoT fleets. You will build scalable security tooling, backend services, and automation to safeguard our products.

The team mentors engineers and advances offensive security practices to create the safest physical security products. A BS/MS in CS/Engineering is required and AWS, Go/Python, and on-call experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8+ years developing Go/Python microservices with AWS and on-call.
Strong knowledge of scalable fault-tolerant backend systems design, including databases, queues, blob storage.
Working knowledge of Temporal, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres, IAM, S3.
Strong understanding and experience in systems architecture.
Experience with managing IoT device fleets (preferred).
Security experience or hacker mindset (preferred).

Responsibilities

Build out and maintain security infrastructure, including internal tooling to automate device security testing.
Design, build, maintain, and scale device security backend systems and tools (firmware supply chain security).
Develop, improve, and automate the device security program.
Mentor other engineers and deepen security expertise.
