Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a Staff Avionics Hardware Engineer to own the design, development, and delivery of spacecraft avionics from concept to flight. You will collaborate with propulsion, guidance, thermal, and software teams to enable deep-space exploration and reliable, high-performance systems.

You should have 7+ years crafting avionics for aerospace environments, hands-on experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, embedded interfaces, and rigorous testing, plus strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years designing, developing, and delivering avionics for aerospace or similar complex environments.
• Hands-on experience from concept through production with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete avionics systems from architecture to flight-qualified hardware.
• Collaborate with propulsion, guidance and control, thermal and software teams.
• Implement robust design and test processes for reliability and safety.
• Lead hardware builds including PCB design, harnessing, embedded systems, and qualification.
• Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders on testing and delivery schedules.
• Maintain design documentation, test plans, and reports.
