This full-time role offers growth and exposure across mortgage banking and depository clients. Location options include Melville, NY or Iselin, NJ with on-site presence 3–4 days per week.

Qualifications

Staff Auditor

Location: Melville, NY or Iselin, NJ (On-site 3-4 days/week)

Industry Focus: Mortgage Banking, Private Debt Funds, Depositories, and Credit Unions

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000

• Bonus: Discretionary, based on performance (can be up to 20%)

My client is a fast-growing financial services advisory firm specializing in niche verticals such as mortgage banking, private debt funds, depositories, and credit unions. The firm places a high value on client relationships, integrity, and developing strong internal talent. Responsibilities

Staff Auditor:

• Assist in audits of financial institutions and related entities

• At least 3 busy seasons of public accounting audit experience

Preferred (not required):

• Experience with financial services clients (mortgage banking, private debt funds, etc.)
• ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) experience — this is a big plus
• CPA license or parts passed for senior-level

• Work Schedule: Heavy hours during Q1 (Jan–April), lighter in summer
• Travel: Minimal — 3–5 times/year, mostly local; Q1 concentrated
