Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Auditor to join our growing CPA firm. The Staff Auditor will assist in planning and performing audit, review, and assurance engagements for a variety of clients across multiple industries. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership, build strong client relationships, and gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a professional who is committed to accuracy, client service, and continuous development in public accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning and execution of audit, review, and other assurance engagements
  • Perform testing of internal controls, account balances, and financial transactions
  • Prepare audit workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm and professional standards
  • Analyze financial statements and identify inconsistencies, risks, or areas requiring further review
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
  • Communicate with clients to request financial information and clarify accounting matters
  • Ensure engagements are completed on time and within budget
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
  • Stay current on accounting, auditing, and regulatory standards
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and partners on client engagements
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold professional ethics
  • Support other accounting and assurance‑related projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA license or progress toward CPA certification preferred
  • 0–3 years of public accounting, audit, or related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and audit procedures
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with audit and accounting software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
