TexasLawHelp/Virtual Court Access Project seeks an attorney to provide legal assistance to eligible clients and run virtual clinics for low-income Texans in rural areas.

The role requires drafting and filing documents, intake, referrals, and collaboration with host sites; travel to remote locations is expected; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

This grant-funded position upholds high ethical standards and complies with all grant requirements and confidentiality obligations.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and Texas licensure required.
• Minimum two years of family law experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide high quality legal advice and referrals to eligible clients, including through TexasLawHelp LiveChat.
• Conduct intake interviews and verify eligibility per TLSC policy.
• Assist clients in drafting and filing legal documents.
• Travel to remote locations for training and outreach activities.
• Assist clients with navigating the TexasLawHelp website.
• Train and lead law students, volunteers, and interns for TexasLawHelp LiveChat.
• Draft and update legal information publications, tools, and forms for TexasLawHelp.
