Lone Star Legal Aid seeks a Staff Attorney for its Bryan, TX Branch Office (JP# BRY 040-2026). The Staff Attorney will gather evidence, file civil lawsuits, draft legal documents, advise clients, interview witnesses, and prepare for representation in court and before agencies.

The attorney may supervise staff, participate in outreach and community education, handle a caseload including major litigation, attend evening clinics, and travel throughout Texas counties served.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Texas or eligible for reciprocity.
• Prior experience in legal services or public interest preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather evidence, conduct civil lawsuits, draft legal documents, and advise clients.
• Interview clients and witnesses; prepare for client representation.
• Represent clients in court and before governmental agencies.
• Interpret laws and regulations for clients and the community.
• Engage in outreach and community education; travel as needed.
