Job summary

BECU is seeking a Staff Architect to shape scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions across cloud, infrastructure, applications and governance. You’ll lead architecture governance, drive Azure-focused designs, and mentor teams to achieve architecture standards and reduce design debt.

This role requires collaboration with technology leaders and business partners, applying AI tools like GitHub Copilot to boost productivity, and delivering lasting value for our members.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Typically requires 7 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures and leading multiple complex solutions.

Responsibilities

• Shape enterprise solutions aligned with strategic objectives, technical blueprints, and governance.
• Strengthen application portfolio management and architecture standards across teams.
• Lead architecture governance, design reviews, and gate activities.
• Drive cloud and infrastructure architecture with emphasis on Azure and hosting environments.
• Own complex architecture work, mentoring junior architects and guiding teams.
• Embed security, risk, and regulatory considerations into design decisions.
• Apply AI tools to enhance productivity and validate outputs.
