The Realtime & Streaming team sits within Architecture's Core Platform function, owning the streaming infrastructure that services and data consumers depend on for timely,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production engineering experience in realtime data infrastructure and event streaming.
• Experience with WAL-based replication systems and CDC frameworks at scale.
• Understanding of ordering, at-least-once vs exactly-once delivery, idempotency.
• Leading batch-to-streaming migrations without disrupting consumers.
• Fluency in a systems language (Rust/Go/C/C++) for high-throughput components.
• Track record of cross-team initiatives and durable architectural documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to guide large orgs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate WAL replication and event streaming platforms.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of the streaming platform and its delivery guarantees.
• Define performance and correctness contracts with dependent services.
• Lead migration of batch-driven sync to a unified WAL-based pipeline.
• Drive adoption of event-driven design and publish architectural guidance.
• Set technical standards for the Realtime & Streaming team and mentor seniors.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response.
