Job summary

Order.co is hiring a Staff Applied AI Scientist to own the AI and ML architecture in our product, from system design to business outcomes. You will decide hosting, retrieval, prompts, guardrails, and evaluation, then build and operate it in production.

You’ll be embedded with product and engineering, reporting to the data team lead, and collaborating with data engineering and platform teams to ensure governance, privacy, and scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in applied data science, ML, or AI with production impact.
• Ownership of AI system architecture and operations.
• Deep knowledge of LLMs, agent tech, and evaluation.
• Experience with MLOps: versioning, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Collaborating with product, engineering and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end ML architecture including hosting and serving.
• Develop evaluation frameworks linking offline metrics to business outcomes.
• Own full lifecycle: experimentation, versioning, deployment, monitoring.
• Implement responsible AI guardrails and privacy/compliance.
• Collaborate with data/ platform teams to ensure production readiness.
• Mentor ICs and drive technical direction.
