Job summary

Order.co is seeking a Principal Applied AI Architect to define the target-state data and AI architecture that powers our procurement and financial platforms. You will shape standards, governance, and integrations while delivering production-grade systems that move key business metrics.

You will partner with product and strategy leaders, stay hands-on as an applied scientist, and ensure security, reliability, and scale across the data stack. This is a remote US-based senior IC role.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in applied data science, machine learning, data architecture, or production AI systems.
• Technical partner to product/strategy leaders, grounding roadmaps in system capabilities.
• Deep production systems knowledge and business context are required.
• Ownership of target-state architecture across data and applied AI, with spine alignment.
• Mentored senior contributors and set standards reused by teams.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state data and AI architecture aligned to business priorities.
• Set naming, modelling, lineage, and integration standards; ensure security and compliance.
• Own AI strategy, evaluation, rollout, monitoring, and responsible AI controls.
• Lead a hands-on, remote, cross-functional delivery effort with product and engineering.
