Job summary

Synopsys Inc. is seeking an engineer with hands-on experience in semiconductor signoff, timing closure, and PDN analysis to support leading customers in Austin.

You will diagnose STA, power integrity, and reliability issues, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to product enhancements while enabling successful tapeouts. The role emphasizes customer-facing engagement, travel as needed, and collaboration with product development to translate field challenges into actionable

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in semiconductor design with STA, PDN, or reliability focus.
• Experience providing technical support or applications engineering for timing or PDN signoff.
• Hands-on use of Synopsys signoff tools in real design environments.
• Strong scripting to automate workflows and analyze results.
• Experience with advanced node design challenges is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve static timing, power, signal integrity, and reliability signoff challenges across chip, package, and system levels.
• Own technical issues end to end and deliver solutions that unblock tapeouts.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate customer pain points into product enhancements.
• Support presales activities by demonstrating Seascape and signoff solutions.
• Build knowledge base of best practices and troubleshooting guides for customers and internal teams.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support engagements.
