We are looking for an Applications Engineer who will support Skyworks' customers and internal teams (Sales, Marketing, and Design) with Skyworks' world-leading Wi-Fi radio components. The position offers a unique perspective on the product lifecycle, from initial design to integration in mass-produced customer products. It is both a customer-facing and internal technical role.

Responsibilities

Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to sales staff and customers through in-depth product knowledge. Support design teams with specifications, testing, and datasheet generation based on customer application needs. Responsibilities vary but all require strong technical expertise, including testing new components, supporting design/debugging, and advising customers on using Skyworks components.

Required Experience and Skills

• BS + 8, MS + 6, or PhD + 3 years of experience
• Five years of radio hardware design or testing experience
• Solid understanding of RF circuit theory
• Knowledge of RF system parameters such as noise figure and linearity, and their impact on system behavior
• Proficiency with RF measurements and test equipment
• Familiarity with automation of measurements and data analysis
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working with customers and internal teams

Desired Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of Wi-Fi physical layer, especially the air interface
• Ability to create Python scripts

The typical base pay range in the U.S. is USD $112,500 - $215,900 annually. Starting pay depends on experience, skills, education, location, and job duties.
