Lyft is seeking a Staff Android Engineer for the Rider App group, tackling critical rider flows and platform architecture while delivering scalable, reliable releases. You will influence architecture, mentor engineers, and drive best practices across the team.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship high-quality features and adopt new technologies to maximize performance, usability, and developer efficiency within a hybrid in-office setup.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Android development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
• Familiarity with RxJava.
• Very knowledgeable about architecture and design patterns.
• Worked on and shipped large scale Android applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and release features in the Lyft Rider Android app.
• Define long-term roadmap and architecture based on technology needs.
• Oversee major changes to Android architecture.
