Polymarket is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to lead Android platform direction and build a world-class trading app. You will shape architecture, own major features, and raise the bar across the codebase.

Qualifications

• Significant Android engineering experience with platform ownership.
• Strong Kotlin expertise with architectural decision-making.
• Deep experience building production UI with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and Gradle builds end-to-end.
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture and evolution.
• Track record of technical leadership within an engineering team.
• Active use of AI tools in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for Android at Polymarket and own architectural decisions.
• Build and own Android features spanning payments, real-time data, and core UI from design to production.
• Implement polished interfaces with Jetpack Compose that perform under real trading conditions.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and Gradle configuration to keep builds fast and releases reliable.
• Integrate WebSockets, gRPC, and streaming data to power live market features.
• Lead a distributed team through clear communication and code quality standards.
• Incorporate AI tools into the development workflow to move faster.
• Identify gaps in Android architecture and practices before scale challenges arise.
