Job summary

TeamSnap is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Android) to lead our Android ad platform. You will architect a scalable, privacy-conscious ad stack, shipping display, native and video ads while partnering across Brands, Product, Design and Data to drive revenue and engagement.

The role requires extensive Kotlin Android experience, hands-on Ad Manager work, and strong leadership across teams. We value a remote-first culture and collaboration in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Extensive Kotlin Android shipping at scale with staff-level leadership.
• Hands-on Google Ad Manager on Android: formats, targeting, lifecycle, debugging.
• Experience with ad verification/measurement: DoubleVerify/IAS/OM SDK and viewability.
• Strong modern Android: Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, Hilt, multi-module architecture.
• Track record designing and launching cross-team systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve Android ad platform as a reusable layer.
• Deliver display, native and video ads across the app.
• Build privacy and consent into the ad stack with Legal/Privacy.
• Ensure app loads fast, renders smoothly, and provides a great UX.
• Partner with Brands, Advertising, Product, Design and Data to define the roadmap.
• Shape the Kotlin/Jetpack Compose app architecture, modularity and health.
• Lead cross-team initiatives with design docs, RFCs; mentor engineers and align with iOS.
