Job summary

Pinterest seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead Analytics Engineering within Core Data Science in San Francisco and remotely across the US. You will mentor a high-performance team, build AI-assisted data tooling, and deliver scalable data pipelines and insights to product and business teams.

You will shape data foundations, ensure data quality, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to push the next generation of Pinterest experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Fluency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R) with nested data handling and windowing.
• Experience with large-scale ETL/ELT workflows and DAG dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Mentor analytics engineers and promote inclusive culture.
• Develop instrumentation and experimentation best practices for product engineering teams.
• Build AI-enabled analysis pipelines and self-service data tooling at scale.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to enable self-service datasets and metric investigations.
• Document tools and datasets and drive data quality and democratization.
