Pinterest is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to advance data science infrastructure and tooling, shaping the future of data foundations for product and business teams. You will lead a high-performance analytics engineers team and partner closely with Core Data Science.

You will mentor, build AI-powered pipelines, and enable self-service data through scalable tooling while upholding data quality and governance across Pinterest.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience working with data in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R).
• Experience with large, complex datasets and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Proven track record delivering analytics solutions to teams.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional leadership to turn insights into actions.
• Experience using AI to improve speed and quality of analysis.
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics engineers with an inclusive culture and mentoring.
• Develop instrumentation and experimentation best practices.
• Build AI tools and analysis pipelines at scale for insights.
• Prototype and document data tools and datasets, ensuring quality.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers for self-service data.
