Job summary

GSA is seeking a Staff Analyst to provide comprehensive analysis on a variety of subject matter and to initiate and/or lead projects evaluating programs and operations. The position lists locations across major U.S. cities and emphasizes delivering briefings to senior management and guiding implementation.

Responsibilities include acting as a technical advisor, developing new methods and guidelines, and handling time-sensitive, confidential projects requiring extensive research and analysis.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience is defined as: Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs to ensure they meet established goals and objectives.
• This includes monitoring and executing assigned program initiatives using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Developing recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operating processes and procedures.
• Conducting in-depth research to solve complex operational problems and providing alternative solutions to leadership.
• Managing time-sensitive projects requiring the collection and reconciliation of conflicting data.

Responsibilities

• Serves as technical advisor for assigned program activities, obtaining appropriate resources to facilitate accomplishment of objectives.
• Analysis and evaluation require development of new or modified methods, organizational structures, management processes, procedures, guidelines.
• Conducts complex analytical studies that are of special interest to specific functional activities or programs, and participates in unusual, controversial and sometimes highly sensitive aspects of the program.
• Prepares and/or conducts briefings for higher level management to explain the specific analysis of subject matter, as well as to provide recommendations or action plans and provide guidance and/or direction for implementation.
• Perform additional administrative and special, one-time projects that are of a time sensitive and confidential nature, and which require extensive research, analysis and evaluation of a wide variety of information.
