General Motors is seeking a Staff Individual Contributor to architect and implement next-generation customer-facing AI systems. The role blends enterprise architecture leadership with hands-on coding in Python and Go and/or Java, focusing on reusable modules for conversational AI, agent orchestration, grounding, and memory.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in distributed, cloud-native, or customer-facing systems.
• Hands-on technical architect, staff/principal engineer, or lead programmer delivering production systems at scale.
• Expert Python and strong Go and/or Java programming skills.
• Experience with LLM applications, agent orchestration, retrieval/embedding/grounding, and AI evaluation.

Responsabilidades

• Own architecture and hands-on delivery of complex customer-facing AI modules from PRD through production.
• Define component boundaries, APIs, data models, and deployment designs for AI services.
• Build reusable services for orchestration, grounding, memory, and channel adapters.
• Lead decisions on inference, serving, reliability, and observability.
• Establish reference implementations and patterns across GCP and Azure.
• Drive CI/CD, testing, AI evaluation, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with product, security, data, and infrastructure teams to resolve cross-system tradeoffs.
• Provide architectural reviews, design docs, code reviews, and incident analyses.
• Identify opportunities to standardize reusable platform interfaces.
