Walmart Global Tech seeks a Staff Software Engineer with deep Generative AI expertise to lead design, development and deployment of advanced AI systems. You’ll architect scalable AI solutions, integrate agentic frameworks, and mentor engineers across teams.

You will collaborate with engineering, product and architecture groups to deliver Gen AI capabilities, ensure developer experience, and drive innovation for retail tech platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/related field with 4+ years software eng exp.
• 6+ years experience in software engineering or related area.
• Experience with Generative AI/LLMs.
• Strong knowledge of Agentic/RAG frameworks and knowledge grounding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, fine‑tune, and deploy Generative AI models with a focus on RAG.
• Develop and optimize LLM‑based agents for grounding and multi‑step reasoning.
• Integrate external data sources (vector databases) with LLMs.
• Provide developer experience and Gen AI solutions; mentor engineers.
• Hands on engineer building scalable, ground‑up tech stack.
