Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff AI Security Engineer to design and build security tools for AI agents and related infrastructure. You will translate emerging agentic threats into defenses, automate responses, and set technical direction for safeguarding our AI estate.

You will collaborate with AI enablement, governance, and platform teams to deploy guardrails, DLP, IAM controls, and secure model-backed services across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, APIs and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience securing AI/enterprise environments, including AI agents and LLMs.
• Experience with AI guardrails, DLP, IAM and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Build and harden security tools that protect AI agents, model-backed services, and infrastructure.
• Design detection capabilities for agentic threats including prompt injection and data exfiltration.
• Develop automated response and containment tools with tiered authority.
• Enable rapid revocation of compromised agent access and restore known-good state.
• Create reusable architectures and frameworks for agentic system security.
• Collaborate with detection/response, threat intelligence, platform engineering and AI enablement teams.
