Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff AI Security & Crypto Engineer in San Diego to architect enterprise-scale crypto solutions integrated with ML and real-time inference. You will lead design reviews, own crypto services end-to-end on Kubernetes, and guide teams toward secure, compliant architectures in a SaaS environment.

You will apply deep cryptography expertise, ML experience, and strong leadership to advance key management, PKI, and secrets infrastructure while aligning with regulatory

Qualifications

• Direct experience in cryptography, PKI, key management, or secrets management.
• Hands-on AI/ML exposure in security/ops problems or integrating LLM tooling into engineering workflows.
• Experience with regulated environments (FIPS 140-2/3, FedRAMP, common criteria).
• Exposure to post-quantum cryptography.
• Track record mentoring engineers and raising security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cryptographic services.
• Architect and operate crypto services on Kubernetes in multi-tenant SaaS.
• Lead threat modeling and secure coding reviews across platform features.
• Collaborate with product owners and security teams to translate requirements into cryptographic frameworks.
• Mentor engineers on cryptographic pitfalls and secure design reviews.
• Stay current on cryptographic advances including post-quantum readiness.
