Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Staff AI Scientist to build probabilistic forecasting models powering cash flow prediction for millions of small businesses. You will sit at the center of QuickBooks Fintech and collaborate with data pipeline and infrastructure teams to bring models from concept to production.

You will design end-to-end forecasting systems, mentor scientists, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to run experiments and define success metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in applied ML/AI with production-grade systems.
• BS, MS or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Economics, OR, or equivalent.
• Deep experience building and training time-series/sequence models for probabilistic forecasting.
• Grounding in probabilistic forecasting, calibration, and multi-task objectives.
• Experience building large-scale learned representations and production training/inference pipelines.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and train large-scale forecasting models end-to-end in code.
• Leadership and communication to influence teams and evangelize AI science.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define success criteria and align model metrics with business goals.
• Lead scrum team: model solutions, architecture, and high-quality code and costs.
• Data analysis and modeling with large datasets; ETL and featurization.
• Apply data mining, NLP, and ML methods to real-world problems and datasets.
• Mentor scientists and engineers, promoting innovation and craft excellence.
• Communicate AI tradeoffs and strategy to technical and non-technical leaders.
