Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in data science and analytics across multiple initiatives or business units.
• Fintech experience (lending, credit cards, or marketplaces) strongly preferred.
• Ability to apply first-principles thinking to translate ambiguous business strategy into analytical problems at the business-unit level.
• Proven success designing and interpreting complex experiments and applying causal inference when experimentation is constrained.
• Deep expertise in predictive/prescriptive modeling, causal inference, segmentation, and experimentation design.
• Experience creating reusable frameworks, methodologies, and toolkits adopted by a broader analytics community.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder-influence skills across Director- and VP-level leaders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make fast data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy across initiatives by turning business strategy into analytical problems across multiple initiatives.
• Influence senior leadership across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Design to inform decisions.
• Advance ML and causal inference methodologies for lending use cases and create reusable frameworks.
• Lead experimentation at scale with A/B/n, painted-door, bandits, and quasi-experiments; apply causal inference when needed.
• Build durable customer segmentation strategies across experiments and analyses.
• Shape the analytics/AI roadmap for lending, including phased testing, measurements, and safety considerations.
• Drive build/buy decisions for analytics tooling and champion reusable tools.
• Mentor Data Scientists and scale the team while remaining hands-on in high-leverage areas.
