Job summary

lululemon seeks a Staff Applied AI/ML Scientist to define, lead, and scale AI/ML solutions that drive business outcomes. You will provide technical leadership, design scalable models for demand forecasting, personalization, and search, and partner with product, engineering, and business teams.

You will establish frameworks for productionizing AI, evaluate model feasibility, and guide the organization on responsible AI practices while influencing multi-year roadmaps and enterprise strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
• 9-12 years of AI/ML research in industrial/corporate setting, or equivalent research experience
• Demonstrated experience in technically leading applied AI/ML solution delivery for high impact business problems
• Experience designing complex AI/ML solutions with multiple models and components and deploying them to production
• Experience guiding adoption of emerging state-of-the-art methods at scale
• Experience establishing domain-wide frameworks for AI/ML solution design and implementation including standards and responsible AI requirements
• Experience with ML implementation using Python, PyTorch, cloud ML platforms and libraries
• Ability to create reusable ML components

Responsibilities

• Designing and deploying ML models for demand forecasting, optimization, personalization, and search
• Applying NLP, computer vision, multimodal, or time-series modeling to enterprise-scale data
• Establishing frameworks for productionizing AI solutions and linking model performance to business decisions
• Acting as a senior technical partner to product, engineering, and business leaders on AI feasibility and value across a multi-year roadmap
• Drive AI/ML solution frameworks for specific business domains and production-ready models
• Lead technical design and delivery of AI/ML solutions for complex problems with scalable models
• Guide best practices for transforming data into intelligent systems and designing AI/ML pipelines
• Establish experimentation standards and rigorous evaluation and validation practices
• Drive domain integration ensuring AI/ML solutions align with business context
