lululemon is seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer to define and drive enterprise AI initiatives at scale. You will architect AI platform strategy and guide major AI projects across product, data, and engineering teams.

You will mentor senior engineers, advocate responsible AI, and collaborate with architects to ensure scalable, secure solutions that align with business goals. This role emphasizes hands‑on leadership and strategic direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 11–15+ years of progressive software and AI/ML engineering experience.
• Expert-level coding with production-grade AI/ML systems; retail experience preferred.
• Deep expertise in system design for complex ML solutions and real-time services.
• Proven ability to define implementation strategies for cross-organizational AI initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and guide adoption of emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise AI/ML engineering vision and implementation strategy for the platform and services.
• Drive major AI initiatives with scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Demonstrate expert-level coding by developing critical components when needed.
• Partner with architects, product teams, and Data & AI to shape enterprise AI architecture.
• Lead foundation model services, generative AI solutions, and agentic frameworks.
• Provide executive-level technical advisory on investments, model strategy, and governance.
• Drive AI/ML engineering practices, observability, and responsible AI controls.
• Mentor engineers and represent lululemon externally at industry events.
