Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. seeks a Staff Software Engineer for Core AI Infrastructure to own reliability and automation of AI infrastructure at scale. You will build production-grade distributed systems and APIs powering internal AI products across the full stack.

You will collaborate with senior leadership, set reusable infra patterns, and mentor engineers while elevating observability, security, and platform contracts in a fast-paced incubator-style environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience automating and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS) and network environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Go or Python and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Designing reusable infrastructure, APIs, and abstractions adopted across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI products by building production-grade distributed systems and deployment orchestration.
• Design APIs and tooling to enable product teams to adopt AI capabilities without bespoke infra requests.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership to align infrastructure requirements and define platform contracts.
• Shape engineering standards by establishing architectural patterns, mentoring engineers, and improving observability and reliability.
• Build full-stack applications powering internal AI products and infrastructure using Go or Python.
