Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI transformation on the IT Operations team. You will own reliable, scalable AI infrastructure, drive full-stack product development, and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver high-impact solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will build production-grade systems, design API abstractions, and mentor engineers to improve observability, reliability, and operational excellence across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience automating and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS) and network environments.
• Proven experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go) and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Platform-builder mindset with scalable infrastructure and reusable APIs.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI products by building production-grade distributed systems and deployment orchestration.
• Design clean APIs and tooling to enable product teams to integrate AI with minimal bespoke infra.
• Align infra requirements with platform leadership and define shared contracts across teams.
• Shape engineering standards and mentor engineers to raise code quality and observability.
• Build full-stack applications powering internal AI products using Go or Python.
