Job summary

Ordergroove is seeking a Staff Software Engineer with a product mindset to own foundational platform capabilities and shape AI‑first architecture. You will build high‑leverage primitives, APIs, and DevX tooling to empower internal teams, partners, and merchants at scale.

You will design robust distributed systems, drive security and observability, and maintain a strong focus on business outcomes while delivering production‑grade software remotely.

Qualifications

• A Systems Thinker with Product Empathy; cares about the why behind the code.
• An Architect of Distributed Systems with a track record of high‑scale APIs and backend services.
• Pragmatic and quality‑driven; writes maintainable, production‑ready software with strong tests and CI/CD.
• Strong familiarity with Python, Go, Kubernetes, Event‑Driven Systems, and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Pioneer the AI‑First Platform by building APIs, SDKs, and MCP servers for human engineers and AI agents.
• Own core capabilities end‑to‑end: design mission‑critical systems, identity, and high‑throughput order processing.
• Design for massive scale with high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance across a multi‑tenant env.
• Champion a You Build It, You Run It culture with end‑to‑end ownership of services.
• Architect the next DevX version by building intuitive tooling and reusable primitives for internal teams.
